Melagen Labs has the solution to this problem: we've developed a proprietary composite material that matches the radiation shielding efficacy of aluminum at a given thickness while being 2.75x lighter, inducing a 2.75x decrease in additional fuel costs for satellites and electronics. The composite is solid and strong, and made of materials that have a decreased risk of causing secondary radiation, increasing the lifespan of electronic equipment.
